HI, I’M RANDY

Creating the Future Through Art

About Me

I'm a Graphic Artist and Multimedia Specialist

I'm a Computer Maintenance Technologist I by profession and a Freelance Graphic Artist and Multimedia Specialist. Most of my skills are self taught through the internet and mentors alike. I started my hobby back when i was in High School while editing templates for Friendster overlay. I started learning 3D after i got addicted to Borderlands. I was so addicted to the game that i wanted to create my own mechanical models. I also do matte paintings from time to time and 3D brought my paintings to the next level. I specialize in graphic design and mechanical models. I work as a freelance Concept artist, Lead Graphic Artist and Lead 3D artist online through Upwork(Odesk) and other direct clients abroad.

I accept commissions and part-time jobs if needed but most of the time i spend my spare time playing online games, modelling mechanical stuff and creating concept art. I'm recently migrated from Zbrush to Maya for the sole purpose of creating low poly game assets. I'm hoping to work as an environment artist for games in the near future.

Most of my skills are self taught and learned through time. I always try to innovate and increase my knowledge of the new softwares and trends in terms of art. I seek mentors and sometimes pay for assets myself. I've been a graphic artist for 8 years more or less and most of my income comes from doing freelance work online. I work as a Lead Graphic artist at Mogobox.com and a cover creator on several books in Amazon. Last year i created in game assets for our company GlobGlobGames and some concept art for the game.

Wallpaper Giveaway!

Hi there, hows it going? I'm giving away these wallpapers i made these past few months. These are some of my newly added work on artstation after my recent study on digital art and concept art making. After my study my work leveled up to the next level and here are some of the result of my study. Although there are still a lot of stuff to learn, I'm very happy to achieve something that i was just dreaming years ago. Feel free to grab these wallpapers and a link back or credit and a like on my facebook page is much appreciated. :)

Thank you and Have a nice day everyone. :)

This is my best work to date using 3D and Photoshop. The model came from my previous concept art of Chappie and tweaked it a bit adding more detail to the model. This took me a day to model and 3 weeks to create a decent scene. The image below is the original model i made way back 2015 when i was just starting to learn Zbrush and kitbashing. I learned compositing for about a week through self study and i was excited to apply what i've learned, so i grabbed my Chappie Custom model and created a new scene and concept art for it. One of the techniques that i learned while studying is the use of depth passes and fortunately Keyshot 6 does it with ease.

Like my previous art entitled The Raiders, i did multiple passes of mettalic, paint/color, roughness, reflection and matte for the base color. I combined them together using Photoshop and started the coloring process. The background is from the Overwatch artwork which i did last 2016. So basically all of my artworks are connected and some of the assets are recycled from previous concepts. It took me 3 weeks to finish this scene though i didn't spend the whole day working on it but i took the time coloring all the details. Choosing the right color scheme took most of my time and finally i decided to go for an old metallic look instead of a shiny, cleaner look.

I was happy about it and decided to add more rust textures and battle scarred metal textures. I also added some high-flying embers to add some war ambiance to the scene. I'm pretty satisfied with the result though it's not the best out there but for me it's a great achievement to be able to create something that is decent looking and i dreamed about when i was just a kid who plays video games. Feel free to ask me any questions and give suggestions/feedback on my work. Have a great day.
